| Abstract | Este estudo aplica índices morfométricos na avaliação da intensidade tectônica na porção emersa da Bacia Sedimentar Paraíba a partir dos dados: rede de drenagem e modelo digital de elevação. Os índices relação declividade-extensão (RDE), fator assimétrico (Af), integral hipsométrica (Hi) e sinuosidade de frente de montanha (Smf) possibilitaram distinguir diferentes intensidades de deformação. Destaca-se a porção NE da área, onde é sugerido tectonismo mais intenso no Neógeno e Quaternário. ABSTRACT: This study applies morphometric indices in the evaluation of tectonic intensity in the onshore portion of the Paraíba Sedimentary Basin using the following data: drainage network and digital elevation model. The indices slope-length ratio (SL), asymmetric factor (Af), hypsometric integral (Hi) and mountain-front sinuosity (Smf) enabled us to distinguish different intensities of deformation. We highlight the NE portion of the area, where more intense tectonism is suggested in Neogene-Quaternary. |
